Residents of Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State has on Tuesday afternoon took to the town’s major roads to protest the daily attacks of bandits they experience lately.
Katsina Post learned the protesters, including grownup men and children, were carrying cardboard papers with various inscriptions calling the Federal and the State Government and safety agencies to step their games up and protect them.
We learned the angry protesters burnt tires and billboards of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Bello Masari at a rage and prostration mood.
Remember that on Friday last week, bandits attacked Wagini village of Batsari government region of Katsina State, killing one person and injuring several others.
The gunmen, who at about midnight, stormed the village, shooting and setting cars and houses belonging to the locals.
While the injured were rushed to Katsina General hospital, was buried following Janaza prayer.
A lot of men and women are already fleeing the village as resources told our reporter that the assault might not be unconnected to the murdering of a suspected bandit by some Yan Sakai (civilian job force) a day earlier to the attack.
