A new trend is on the social media right away, a trend of women eating Laundry Starch. I can’t really tell how healthy it is to digest such starch since I have not actually heard someone eating the substance before now. The funny part is the women are eating the laundry starch for Likes.
In order to measure the popularity of this new trend go to Youtube and do a search on “starch eating,” it will turn up hundreds of videos showing Black women eating cornstarch. The videos will show African American women, with corn starch powder all over their face and nose, acting like drug addicts.
Studies carried out have shown that eating these large consumptions of cornstarch can kill.
The Cravings for plain corn starch or other “non-nutritive substances” such as uncooked rice or soap are termed “pica”. Such behaviour is fairly common among pregnant women but can be dangerous if not treated
Pica is often a consequence of iron deficiency, Women with anaemia are most likely to be at risk for pica.
I truly wanted to post a brief comment to be able to thank you for some of the lovely pointers you are sharing at this site. My incredibly long internet search has at the end of the day been honored with excellent facts and techniques to share with my good friends.
