The Amnesty International has called on the Government of Cameroon to control his various human rights violation in the country, this was restated days before elections were held. Amnesty International has called on the next-coming government to see human rights crisis as a priority in the country.
It mentioned two regions were high human rights violation have been recorded the far north, where Boko Haram is active and the Anglophone parts of the country were there is a separatist movement. The organisation claimed that in response to Boko Haram attacks that the cameroonian security forces have raided villages, killed civilians and lockdown thousands without evidence, it claimed that armed separatists have killed soldiers and civilians and destroyed schools.
So Amnesty International is asking the next government to ensure that members of armed groups, and also the security forces who violate human rights laws are brought to justice
