Performer and Musician Koffi Olomide has reported that he will perform in Kenya on 24 April, his first return after he was ousted from the East African nation in July 2016 for striking one of his female artists.
The 61-year-old rumba vocalist has apologized a few times for his conduct in Kenya. He said in a video message that he had been welcome to perform at a prominent national gathering that unites Kenya’s 47 county leaders and it is normally attended by the president and top government authorities.
In his special video for the forthcoming visit – posted on YouTube – he tells his Kenyan fans, “I miss you so much, I cherish you.”
