Joshua Lidani is allegedly hiding in the palace of the emir of town, together with protesters standing outside and he come outside to “answer a few of their questions” Lidani allegedly paid an unscheduled trip to Talasse, a city in his constituency, when protesters surrounded him. Joshua Lidani, the senator representing Gombe South District, has been held captive by his own components, Premium Times reports.
Among the protesters allegedly claimed that Lidani “denied to pay a visit to Talasse because his election despite many appeals, just for him to creep into now.” The protester added that additional youth groups also have blocked adjacent villages and cities where Lidani might need to pass on his exit. He explained:
The Gombe State Police Control has been stated to have reported on the spectacle, but made to prevent confrontation. Aside from those in the emir’s palace, many youth groups also have blocked the rest of the streets the senator may attempt to sneak outside, not only in Talasse here, but other cities across the street too.
